Cardiovascular Surgery

Charles H. Hallman, M.D. is a highly-skilled, experienced, and respected cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon at The Texas Heart Institute. He performs cardiac, aortic, vascular, and thoracic operations on patients from all over the world. He has been a member of The Texas Heart Institute Surgical Staff since 1992.

Dr. Hallman received his undergraduate degree with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1981. He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1984. He then completed a five-year residency in general surgery at Baylor’s affiliated hospitals. In 1992, he graduated from Dr. Denton A. Cooley’s Texas Heart Program as a cardiovascular surgeon.

Dr. Hallman is the Director of the Cardiovascular Fellowship Program at The Texas Heart Institute. He is a member of the Harris County Medical Society, Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Texas Medical Association, Houston Surgical Society, American College of Surgeons, and the American College of Chest Physicians.
